The Kardashian family has been in the spotlight for many years now. Despite all the debates and personal opinions people have about them, they also have managed to inspire many Americans to give freely when they are able, and to help those who are less fortunate. A quick Google search regarding the Kardashian’s charity donations and fundraisers will yield you numerous results on all the good deeds the family has contributed to.

With a net worth of over $300 million, it’s no wonder that the Kardashian’s can be so generous with their money. While the clan certainly lives an extravagant lifestyle, they manage to also use their wealth and good fortune to help people who haven’t been so lucky. For example, Kim Kardashian donates 10% of her yearly income to charities and churches. She also held an auction on eBay several years ago in which a portion of the proceeds went to charities. Additionally, throughout Kim’s pregnancy she did not register or ask for any gifts, instead she asked that her fans donate to a children’s hospital in Chicago.

Kim isn’t the only member of the Kardashian family to give freely. In late 2016, Kourtney and Khloe visited the Angel Ball in New York City and made a $250,000 donation to cancer research; more specifically, Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation in honor of their late father. Rob Kardashian passed away in 2003 due to esophageal cancer, so this is no doubt a cause that is close to both of their hearts.

The Kardashian and Jenner clan have also donated meals to people in need. In 2016, around Christmas time, the family supposedly donated 100 gourmet meals to homeless individuals living on Skid Row in California. Skid Row has a large amount of homeless people, and it’s no doubt that these gourmet meals were a rare treat for them. Apparently, this isn’t the first time the family has helped those living on Skid Row, either. They have donated over $50,000 in new products in the past to the woman in the area, as well.

One of the younger family members, Kylie, is well known for her cosmetic line, Kylie Cosmetics. She created a specific lip kit that she donated 100% of the proceeds to the company Smile Train, whom she is also an ambassador for. The organization treats children who are born with cleft lip or cleft palate and are unable to afford the surgery to fix those issues. Smile Train helps these children by allowing them to receive the surgery to give them a smile that they are proud of. Through the sales of her lip kit, Kylie donated $150,000 to smile train, which was enough to help over 600 children who were born with cleft lip or palate.

Another of the younger members, Kendall, has also had her fair share of charitable donations. She partnered with an eyeglass brand, Diff Eyewear, to double their donations for every pair of eyewear that they sold in 24 hours. The brand supports charities that help those who have problems with their eyesight. Some of the pairs of eyewear cost $75 or more, so for Kendall to double their sales in 24 hours did not come at a small price tag.

It’s obvious that the Kardashian’s have their pros and cons like the rest of humans, but it’s also clear that they don’t take all their success for granted. They all contribute to charities and organizations that are important to them. The rest of the world might be able to learn a thing or two about giving back to the community from the Kardashian family.
